REPELLENT ARE THEY SAFE OR HAZARDOUS
We had better all been aware that not all non-toxic chemicals
are totally safe whether been ingested, applied to the skin, or sprayed into
the surrounding for a particular purpose; most has a side effect which is in
most case potentially hazardous based on accumulation.
In
our fight against mosquito our weapon is circled with mosquito coil and net,
sprays, mats, creams, liquid-vaporizers, electric mosquito repellents, and the
local incense sticks and spray.
But, the question is if repellant are safe,
how then can something that repels mosquito be safe for human beings?
MOSQUITO REPELLENT ARE THEY SAFE
OR HAZARDOUS
How mosquito
bite should be prevent.
In India a physician advice patience to give preference to
use of topical repellants or cover windows with net impenetrable by mosquito
and should be keep closed. “Smoke- based repellent can trigger wheezing attacks
though it is not clear to say if they cause the problem” the use of aerosol
spray is not advisable for they are much liable to nose allergies or wheezing.
Also,
added a dermatologist, that there has not yet been a link of topical treatment
to skin irritations. “Though not harmful, but effective only when it is
regularly used” he said.
But, doctors had
concluded from a series of research that Pyrethrum used in most repellents
could harm humans in the long run. R. Kulandai the director of institute of
child health, India, reported that animal studies show nervous weakness as
prior side effect. “We have no studies to confirm the harmful effect of
repellents, the much formal deduction is that repellent enhances asthma and
other allergic manifestation in people, majorly children.”
The age-old practice of mosquito nets is the safest to
prevent oneself against viral infections spread by mosquito.
